Wood fired vases

Wood fired

Wood fired pieces are exposed to very high temperatures  of approximately 2400 degrees F in a multichamber climbing kiln. The kiln is stoked continuously with firewood for four days, and then cooled down slowly. The interactions between flame, wood ash, and minerals in the clay form a natural ash glaze.
